HAZWOPER training is federally required for employers and their employees who are exposed to hazardous substances and who are engaged in several operations including clean-up, treatment, storage and disposal of hazardous waste. In addition, workers involved in an emergency response operation dealing with hazardous waste and workers who have to perform duties at a waste site where hazardous contamination are equally expected to be fully trained and protected. This online course satisfies the training and retraining requirements for OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 & 1926.65 HAZWOPER standard.

The 40-Hour HAZWOPER training course is designed for high-risk employees who are involved in clean-up operations, voluntary clean-up operations, emergency response operations, and storage, disposal, or treatment of hazardous substances or uncontrolled hazardous waste sites. Employees who have exposure at or above permissible exposure limits (PELs), work on sites requiring respirators for more than 30 days out of the year and those who supervise any of these individuals are required to take this course.
The 24-hour HAZWOPER course is designed for lower risk employees and covers broad issues pertaining to the hazard recognition at work sites. Employees who occasionally come into contact with hazardous materials, work at contaminated sites with exposure below permissible exposure limits (PELs), work at sites requiring respirators for less than 30 days out of the year along with those who supervise any of these individuals are required to take this course.
This course is an annual refresher training for individuals who have already completed their Hazwoper 40 Hour Course or the HAZWOPER 24 hour Course. This course is intended for all general site workers who remove hazardous waste or who are exposed or potentially exposed to hazardous substances or health hazards. OSHA requires that employees, managers and supervisors successfully complete an 8-Hour HAZWOPER refresher course to maintain the required level of HAZWOPER knowledge.
HAZWOPER training includes hazard identification, remediation and prevention methods, and is made up of different modules that cover a variety of topics within the regulations set by OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120. such as hazardous substances, materials, personal protective equipment and many others.

HAZWOPER 40 & 24-hour certifications are valid for one (1) year. HAZWOPER 8 -hour refresher training must be completed one (1) year after receiving the 40/24-hour certification and is valid for one (1) year.
